Adam WarRock “Super Art Fight” (Download)
I’m on the way home from the East Coast tour, that was full of snowy disarray, canceled shows, and ice madness. But I am back now! And posting new music! Hooray!
The people at Super Art Fight are some of the most amazing, kindhearted, funny, and weird people I’ve ever met in the comics world. If you’ve never seen Super Art Fight, think of it like a pro wrestling match that involves artists drawing on a huge canvas, costumes, sometimes puppets, and a wheel of death that makes them draw more random shit across their opponents hard work. It’s usually somewhere you can get booze too, so I mean, what more do you need? I know at this point, nerd music luminaries like Beefy, Tribe One, Anamanaguchi, Peelander-Z, and more have performed as musical guests (along with yours truly, obviously).
They’ve truly created something fun and meaningful for the art community. I know a lot of comic and visual artists, and all of them are so acutely aware of how isolated and lonely an experience being an artist can be. What they’ve managed to is give a showcase for artists to not only display their immense talents to a public audience, while also giving artists an excuse to have fun with their work – something that’s not always easy to keep in mind.
So what I’m saying is: you should go see a Super Art Fight. Most notably their 100th Super Art Fight spectacular at The Ottobar in Baltimore, MD on March 8! More info on Super Art Fight 100 here. Tell Ross and Marty I sent you.
Whew, okay, so first of all. I get a week or so off, but right back on the road towards UNT Denton GeeKon, SXSW, and then to Rutgers Geek Week. I will be touring throughout the middle of the country, TX, Fla. and then up the coast where I missed last time. So check outmy tour dates, and please come out to a show if you can!
Also, last but not least.
I guested on a Doubleclicks song! We did a video for it, and you can also get the song on their bandcamp page. It’s about Tabletop Games. And if you’ve never seen The Doubleclicks live, I can attest to the fact that they are one of my favorite groups/acts to see live, period. Love those ladies.
Ok, time to go home. See you on the road again soon.
